Get ready in three steps

1. Check the shipping tab. Switch the flashlight off and disconnect any charging cable. If your model has a removable tail cap, unscrew it counterclockwise. Gently remove only a clearly identifiable, loose shipping insulation tab between the battery and its contact. Do not peel the protective wrapping from the battery.
2. Reassemble and charge. If the battery was removed, reinstall it according to the polarity markings and manufacturer instructions. Secure the tail cap, then charge using the USB-C input.
3. Choose your light. Select a lighting mode and slide the head to adjust between floodlight and spotlight.

If the battery insulation tab will not come out

The shipping tab prevents electrical contact during transport. Leaving it in place may prevent the flashlight from turning on or charging properly.

If the tab sticks, tears, or cannot be reached easily, stop. Do not force the battery out, push it with a rod, dismantle the head, or use metal tweezers or sharp tools. Switching the flashlight off does not eliminate the risk of a battery short circuit. Do not use or charge the flashlight until the issue is resolved.
